Alumina production cost element

According to the alumina production process, the production cost of alumina is roughly composed of the following:

(1) Raw materials: bauxite, limestone, alkali (soda ash and caustic soda), etc.;

(2) Auxiliary materials: steel balls, grease, conveyor belts, etc.;

(3) Fuel and power costs: power consumption, steam consumption, water, heavy oil, coke, etc.;

(4) Other costs: labor, manufacturing, management expenses.

During this period, bauxite is the primary raw material and the primary source of cost for production of alumina. The production of a pound of alumina requires about two pounds of bauxite (due to the different grades, the amount of bauxite needed for the tons of alumina is different).
